• Start — Genesis 46:11. The year of Kohath's birth is the year his father, Levi (third-born son of Jacob, son of Leah) was born (2257) + the age of his father at Kohath's birth (43) = 2300
• End — Exodus 6:18. The year of Kohath's death is the year he was born (2300) + his age at death (133) = 2433

Kohath was already born when the Israelites went down to Egypt. Eliezer Shulman's "The Sequence of Events in the Old Testament" (page 41) places Kohath's birth in the year 2238AM, when Levi is 43 years old.
