No layman, however, is to eat the holy gift; a sojourner with the priest or a hired man shall not eat of the holy gift.

וְכָל־זָר לֹא־יֹאכַל קֹדֶשׁ תּוֹשַׁב כֹּהֵן וְשָׂכִיר לֹא־יֹאכַל קֹדֶשׁ׃ ‬
